Rome 5-10 September 2011
Il Rome SummerLab vuole confrontarsi con la realtà delle occupazioni a scopo abitativo, ormai sempre più visibile nel territorio romano: una sessantina di edifici precedentemente abbandonati sono stati occupati da militanti di organizzazione di lotta per la casa, insieme con immigrati e italiani che non riescono ad accedere al folle mercato romano dell’housing.
In questo panorama, il modello delle occupazioni si pone come nuovo urbanesimo resistente, alternativo a quello perseguito da autorità e poteri economici: un modello che sta crescendo, implementando il suo network e intengrandosi con le realtà circostanti.
Il Rome summerLab incontrerà diverse realtà resistenti, per poi concentrare i suoi sforzi progettuali su Metropoliz, sulle sue complessità interne e sul suo potenziale di apertura verso l’esterno.
